GROUP SUPPORT

When you come into a U-Turn group, you are no longer alone, but among friends who understand your problems as few others could.

Many people find addiction recovery help and community by participating in mutual support meetings where participants share their experience, strength and hope, and where struggles, thoughts, feelings and ideas are expressed without the fear of rejection or judgement. The overall message is we are not alone.

Regular participation has been shown to help you embrace recovery by:

  • Strengthening your confidence about maintaining your sobriety
  • Developing social networks supportive of your recovery
  • Learning sober social skills
  • Discovering new insights and recovery resources
  • Making other lifestyle changes that positively impact your recovery from addiction

I attend regular group meetings, I share my experience, and open up to others. I never knew I could do this, but with all the love and support from my U-Turn family, I am well on the way to becoming the person I have always wanted to be—clean, confident, and stronger than ever before.” — Julia

U-Turn offers a number of weekly 12-step groups. Attendance is free and open to anyone who has a desire to stop drinking, using other drugs, or gambling. Meetings are anonymous and facilitated by experienced peer supporters who have lived experience with addiction recovery.

Join us for a meeting. You’ll soon be making friends and feel very much a part of the group. If you’d like more information about our meetings, please contact us.
