Supporting your recovery
Addiction recovery means so much more than just abstaining from the use of alcohol and other drugs. Living in recovery means improving your health and wellness. It means recovering your sense of self and what matters to you in life. It means building healthy relationships and strengthening your support network. It means learning to live differently.
Recovery is a lifelong journey. But, thankfully, you don’t have to walk that road alone. Recovery coaching, support groups, activities and events at U-Turn help guide you and your loved ones through the challenges of early recovery, revive your recovery during those inevitable tough times, and celebrate your hard-won recovery milestones. U-Turn is a community where you and your loved ones can:
U-Turn is a friendly place where no one passes judgment on others. I finally feel I’m not alone and that I belong. I met a couple of people who helped me out with some of my problems and who advocated for me on my behalf. I don’t know where I would be without U-Turn.” — Cindy

SERVICES NAVIGATION, REFERRALS AND ADVOCACY
It can be hard knowing where to turn for help and how to access the services you need. We assist in navigating community resources and the mental health and addictions system, provide referrals to appropriate services, and can advocate on your behalf—improving your accessibility.
We offer private, confidential peer support. We can assist you with identifying your recovery goals and personal strengths, problem solving, developing relapse-prevention and recovery action plans, providing emotional support and encouragement, and linking you with other support services.
Support groups offer a safe place to share our struggles, strength and hope with others who are experiencing similar issues. We share information and resources, learn new skills to cope with challenges, and build our confidence for maintaining our sobriety. Click here for a schedule of our weekly meetings.
